incase some of you are unaware, i have not been updating this blog here nor have been posting in the fb page for some time now. no, i did not quit skateboarding like most of have thought or assumed and concluded. i just don't feel the need to do so, i.e. updating ironxhanger. i mean, why should i and also, there's no point sharing knowledge while others claim credits, right? personally, i give credits all the time, where and when credits are due. y'all now have the fukkin' interweb and also that anti-social media thang, don't you? so go do the knowledge yourselves. i won't be posting as much as i used to, it's wearing me thin, figuratively speaking here.

oh yeah, shout out to all you skateboarders out there for licking and sucking iasc / tws' ballz yesterday, 21st june a.k.a gsd (go suck dicks). also, to those flossing 'em thrasher magazine garbs, do yourselves a huge favour and please, burn them. all of them! i'm serious, 'cause i doubt that most of you who flaunt 'em, even purchase nor subscribe to the magazine. yes, it's a magazine and never was a clothing brand, you fukkin' imbeciles! looking at you, mr. ns inspector kook, and probably 70% of those who floss hard in 'em gears as well. ;)

anyways... shut up, quit your fukkin' whining and go skate, you motherfukkin' kooks!

some of the best filmmakers in skateboarding take an assorted cast of skaters around the globe to skate some of the most epic spots that have ever been seen. featuring segments from sour, isle, pass~port, kyle camarillo and patrik wallner.

transworld skateboarding is proud to present our twenty-fourth video, “the cinematographer project.” we have assembled thirteen of skateboarding’s finest film makers to each produce their own original three to five minute short. the result is a truly creative and diverse take on the world of skateboarding.

christopher middlebrook highlights an all-australian section with a host of rippers including jake duncombe, lewis marnell, dane burman and nick boserio.

and finally alien workshop has a power driven montage that will knock your socks off featuring the entire alien team with an added focus on gilbert crockett and jake johnson.

this year’s eric stricker memorial award deservedly goes to the incredible people at skateistan, who have spent the past eight years using skateboarding as a tool of empowerment for youths in afghanistan, south africa and cambodia. founded by oliver percovich in 2007 and with their first facility opened in ’09 in kabul, the non-profit, non-governmental organization works with children from a range of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds in some of the most war-torn and impoverished countries on the planet to build trust, offer educational opportunities and bring hope to youths whose lives and living conditions might otherwise seem exceedingly difficult from our perspective of first-world comforts.

"i did this sculpt to honour one of skateboarding's most incredible individuals. it wasn't a commission or anything. i really did it for myself. but as i came close to finishing the sculpt, i thought ‘why not send it to john?' i'm really glad i did. it's the least i could do for a guy who gave so much inspiration to the skateboarding community. when he recieved the sculpture via the guys at dlx, he called me to thank me for it. when i realized who i was on the phone with i couldn't breathe. lol! i was so hyped! thanks, john!

i want to thank the guys out at dlx for helping me finish the sculpture. jim thiebaud and damon thorny, both sent me photos that helped me out tremendously. when the sculpt was finished, i sent it to dlx and they made sure john recieved it.

i love mark gonzales, so i'm gonna quote him again here speaking about cards in the transworld "sight unseen" film. “he's an original ripper; he's an original coors." i'd say that about sums it up. there are few people who epitomize the spirit of skateboarding like john cardiel. if you don't know that, then you need to go watch his videos. enough said!"

fukkin’ awesome!!! hells yeah!!! \m/

years ago, flip skateboards added some really young rippers to their team with louie lopez and curren caples to plant the seeds for tomorrow’s flip team. well, tomorrow is now and the boys are all grown up. along with alec majerus, who just recently joined louie and curren in the pro ranks, the trio filmed together for flip’s latest video offering simply titled "3". directed and filmed by arto saari with the help of josh zucker and others over only a few months, this video is just a glimpse into how these three newest pros on the flip roster can carry the torch for the second generation of flip.

5boro in paris!

the 5boro team took their city skills from the gotham boroughs to the historic haunts of paris, france this past april to avoid the extended nyc winter and visit their french homies. this was the first time in paris for the young guys on the team (silvester, gonyon and jordan). check the full video.
