“destroyer”...!!!

this crazy, beer guzzling, metal up your ass shredder, jerry gurney, turned pro during the blood wizard x element's tour some time back. it's been a fuckin' long time coming, ever since he appeared in the opening sequence of blood wizards'masters of wizardry vol. 1. that shit was hella tight, so it's not a surprise why tho'. anyways, congratulations and watch the muthafukkin' video below, if you have not. hells to the yeah!!! \m/

jerry takes tricks from different skate eras, adds some rockin' music, and puts it all in a blender. the result is one hell of a good time and a killer edit. congrats on going pro for blood wizard!

shape three woodwork!

personally, i have not heard any news about dave bachinsky for some time now, but he has been handling and working on his new project, shape three. a non- profit / d.i.y woodwork cottage industry, that recycles and repurpose used / broken skateboard decks, enabling him to raise funds for his local skate park. massive big ups, dave! \m/

for the past few years, dave bachinsky as been taking his broken boards and boards from friends to repurpose into photo frames and rings. he takes 75% percent of the proceeds and gives it directly to his hometown to help build new obstacles at the local park he learned to skate at.

about this book.
-----
the first book to celebrate one of the iconic brands of american streetwear.  an originator of west coast street and skate style, fuct was a cult los angeles brand that went on to become one of the most influential american streetwear labels, influencing not only the style but also the graphic and referential approach of countless artists and companies. driven by the provocative vision of its creator, the artist erik brunetti, fuct’s appeal drew on contemporary skate aesthetics and invoked a situationist slant on brand-oriented consumer culture. famous for their appropriation of iconic logos, and renowned for collaborations with artists, designers, and companies as diverse as david mann and shawn mortensen, fuct continues to flirt with controversy as it remains at the forefront of american street fashion and culture. published to coincide with the brand’s twentieth anniversary, with contributions from icons of the street fashion world such as aaron rose and gary warnett, this beautifully illustrated, comprehensive volume explores the archives of the brand’s products and advertising, as well as brunetti’s artwork, sketches, and films that continue to inspire and inform the brand.

no other magazine pushed the boundaries of skateboarding and pop culture like big brother, the raunchiest, rowdiest magazine to come out of the 1990s. constantly at the center of much-deserved controversy, the rag has been decried as pornography, bought and unexpectedly dropped by larry flynt of the hustler empire, and credited as the genesis of the jackass universe; it was also the champion of unknown skaters and featured some of today's biggest names in skate culture when they were just children. now author sean cliver puts a bow on the publication with the big brother book, a collection of covers and spreads from every issue of the notorious publication. featuring high-quality scans of the magazine itself no production or layout files remain in existence with just enough text to explain what's going on and choice quotes from each issue, this book makes it easy as well as fun to stoop to big brother's level.
