this documentary was produced between 2008 and 2011.

five entities established in skateboarding share concepts of individuality, limitation, and knowledge learned from a constant evolving culture. a culture eternally cycling, dying and rebirthing. forced down dead end pathways by powerful business entities. manipulated of progression through decensitized internet labyrinths. two symmetrical beings, parallel in thought, know only that of which is seen. controlled by a vivid entity yet handicapped by a lack of capacity of free thought and expression. no ambition? no spirit and fulfillment? paintings of inner reflection. still, immovable and wondering; “what is my love and passion?” a documentary expressing the ‘artist’ journey of becoming. a parallel narrative supporting sentiment of fighting against conformity. a contribution of thought challenging comprehension and expansion. the story of symmetrical mirrors, formed as one entity.

manhattan days - a film by pontus alv!

manhattan days is a film composed by pontus alv celebrating the converse cons polar skate co. ctas pro and featuring cons and polar riders aaron herrington, kevin rodrigues, david stenström, jerome campbell, dane brady and pontus himself.

taking inspiration from back in the day when you skated all over the city we carted around some east coast style plates and a pole jam in a skateable shopping cart and just let the skating happen!

skate world: sweden.

our first episode of skate world: sweden finds us in malmo, where the ever motivated pontus alv and friends show the true meaning of d.i.y spirit. from their beginnings at the now defunct savanna side to the straight rawness of the train banks spot the malmo skaters take matters into there own hands when it comes to street spots.

bum rush the spot-brooklyn edition (under the bqe).

pontus alv and the polar team traveled to nyc this fall to shred the streets and film for their upcoming video. teaming up with joel meinholz and fred gall they built a new obstacle at the diy spot under the bqe expressway in brooklyn. after almost getting shut down by a massive storm and the nypd, the cement dried just in time for us to throw a bum rush the spot event and a whole slew of northeastern skaters showed up to show their support.

world record wallie contest!

wallie world cup 2012.

for multiple days outside the bright trade show in berlin, pontus alv and lennie burmeister could be seen making transitions for the most unique contest this year. the concept was simple wallie over a barrier and you become the champion of the world. the mc, lev tanju of palace skateboards, was complete comedy. everyone had three tries to get over the barrier and when those were used up and more attempts were needed, the kind hearted, lev facilitated with a nice cold one. for some the strength of german beer didn't help them get over but for others the combination of light feet and alcohol made the task easy to accomplish.

starring pontus alv, dennis busenitz, jason adams, dennis laas, guy with energy drink hat, curly haired kid, white shirt, the australian and many others who i couldn't give nicknames too.
