screamin' inc. is one of the last few remaining companies from the usa that still handscreen skateboards. they are based in fullerton, california and they have been screen printing skateboards since 1988. above is a short video showcasing chicken, explaining about the benefits of a screen printed boards compared to a heat transferred decks. enjoy!

so you wanna screen your own boards?

some peeps have been asking me where they can find good resources on the internet for screen printing their wooden planks. below are a couple of excellent sites, where i got my references from. it's easy to screen boards, if you have some basic experience in screening t-shirts or posters. the steps are almost the same except that you have to customise your own frame, if you want one to have a graphic that covers the whole base of the board from the nose to the tail. otherwise, using a simple and rectangular frame, big enough to screen the middle of the base will do. it's also not that difficult to build your own frame if you have worked in a technical lab or wood shop in school. anyway, read and comprehend the sites below. have fun!
