full bleed.

skateboarding in new york city is a singular experience. it is impossible not to feel the magnitude of the landscape and with the city in constant motion, skateboarding is both exhilirating and extremely dangerous. there is no right or wrong way to navigate this vast terrain. only one thing is certain — the skaters and images produced in new york city are wholly unique.

the shots in full bleed span 30 years, with contributions from over 60 photographers. this is the first-ever comprehensive overview of one of the most diverse and rich skating locations in the world, bringing together legendary skaters and iconic photographers.

best kept secrets...

okay, well, maybe not. but anyways, i'm sorry to all my readers out there in the world wide web for not having been updating ironxhanger as much. i've been very busy being preoccupied, day in and out with my obligations and other shit that has been going on lately. i've also been too damn tired to update, even when i want to most times. further more, there's not much news to update in here, that you can't already find else where on the internet.

anyway, below are two free main resource sites (if you don't already know, that is) where you can watch skateboarding videos online and also check out and read some skateboarding web 'zines too, if you have time to kill that is. ha!

so you wanna screen your own boards?

some peeps have been asking me where they can find good resources on the internet for screen printing their wooden planks. below are a couple of excellent sites, where i got my references from. it's easy to screen boards, if you have some basic experience in screening t-shirts or posters. the steps are almost the same except that you have to customise your own frame, if you want one to have a graphic that covers the whole base of the board from the nose to the tail. otherwise, using a simple and rectangular frame, big enough to screen the middle of the base will do. it's also not that difficult to build your own frame if you have worked in a technical lab or wood shop in school. anyway, read and comprehend the sites below. have fun!
if you need more informations about this, please do not hesitate to drop me a line here.

peace.
